Online
Tutoring
Through Uplift’s Online Campus your child joins a live Liverpool or Parramatta class from home. The same tutor teaches it, alongside the students in the room, with marked homework every week.
Sit in on a real class before you enrol — no cost, no obligation.
The same teaching.
None of the travel.
Online students don’t get a separate, scaled-back class — they join the same live class as the students on campus. Same tutor, same 47-week calendar, same resources and marking, so families anywhere in NSW get the teaching families next door to a campus get.
What our students have achieved
Who stands behind us
Find a class to join online
Every class at every campus can be joined online, so you choose from all the times at Liverpool and Parramatta. Three taps — year level, then subjects and times, with the Online fee as you go.
How online tutoring works at Uplift
A live campus class streamed to your child, with everything a campus enrolment includes.
A real class, joined live
Your child joins a scheduled Liverpool or Parramatta class as it happens, alongside the students in the room. They ask questions and get asked questions — the recording is a backup, not the lesson.
Taught from the tutor’s control deck
Our tutors teach from a control deck that lets them speak with online students directly, put the lesson presentation on their screen and stream the class live — so online students are part of the lesson, not watching it.
Homework still gets marked
Submitted, marked and returned with written feedback — not just an answer key. Tutors are reachable between lessons too.
You’re kept in the loop
Parent–teacher meetings are included, the same as for campus families — so distance doesn’t mean guessing how your child is going.
What you need to join
A laptop, tablet or desktop with a webcam, a stable internet connection, and somewhere reasonably quiet to work. That’s it — no specialist software to buy, and our team checks your setup before the first lesson.
Subjects you can join online
Every subject we teach at Liverpool and Parramatta can be joined online — from online HSC tutoring in Year 12 to online maths and English tutoring from Year 7, plus OC and Selective preparation. Subjects are chosen individually; there are no compulsory packages.
OC and Selective preparation are composite classes — Years 3 and 4 together for OC, Years 5 and 6 together for Selective — and each subject is chosen on its own. They run at Parramatta now and start at Liverpool on Monday 12 October 2026. See every class and time.

Online tutoring — your questions answered
Is an online class the same as a campus class?+
It is the campus class. Online students join a live Liverpool or Parramatta class alongside the students in the room — same tutor, same lesson, same weekly resources and marking, same 47-week calendar, and the same class, on average about 12 to 15 students.
The tutor teaches from a control deck, which lets them speak with online students directly, share the lesson presentation to their screen and stream the class as it happens.
Can an Online student come to class in person?+
An Online enrolment joins classes online only, which is why it costs less for Years 7 to 12.
If you’d like the option of coming in, enrol at Liverpool or Parramatta instead — an in-person enrolment can attend in the room or join the same class online, whichever suits the week.
How do I enrol, and can we try a class first?+
Book a free trial lesson and your child joins a real class online before you commit — no cost, no obligation. If it suits, we enrol them into that class and they continue the following week.
Use the class finder above to find the right session, then contact us on 1300 92 92 99 or through the contact form and our team will confirm the place.
How much does online tutoring cost?+
Fees are charged per 10 lessons, not as a package you buy up front, and subjects are chosen individually. An Online enrolment costs less than attending in person for Years 7 to 12: Years 7–9 are $360 for one subject and $675 for English and Mathematics together ($400 and $750 in person). Years 10–12 are $450 for each of the first two subjects, then $400 for each subject after that ($500 and $450 in person). The 3-hour Parramatta classes — Year 11 and 12 Mathematics Extension 1 and Year 12 Mathematics Advanced — are $675 online ($750 in person) and count as the first subject.
OC and Selective preparation is 10% off when you join online: $355.50 for English or Mathematics and $261 for Thinking Skills, per 10 lessons ($395 and $290 in person). Liverpool classes also carry a $50 resources and learning platform fee per term. The class finder above shows your total as you add subjects.
Are the lessons live or pre-recorded?+
Live. Your child joins a scheduled class taught in real time by an Uplift tutor, so they can ask questions and be asked questions during the lesson.
Every lesson is also recorded and available to rewatch for 13 days — the fortnight before most school assessments — but the recording is a backup, not the lesson itself.
Why are your classes named for next year?+
Uplift runs an accelerated 47-week calendar. Students begin their next year-level content in Term 4, so they start the school year having already covered the opening topics — which is why a student currently in Year 9 joins our Year 10 (2027) class.
Online students follow the campus of the class they join: the transition is Monday 28 September 2026 at Liverpool and Monday 12 October 2026 at Parramatta.
Can we join from regional NSW or interstate?+
Yes. Classes run on Sydney time and are open to any family with a stable internet connection — and online families can choose from every class time at both Liverpool and Parramatta. Good tutoring shouldn’t depend on living near a campus.
If you are outside NSW, check the class time against your local time zone before enrolling and our team will help you pick a session that works.
Do you run OC and Selective school preparation online?+
Yes. OC preparation covers OC English, OC Mathematics and OC Thinking Skills; Selective preparation covers Selective English, Selective Mathematics and Selective Thinking Skills. Each subject can be chosen on its own.
Both are composite classes — Years 3 and 4 together for OC, Years 5 and 6 together for Selective — in one small group. Online students can join the Parramatta and Liverpool classes from Monday 12 October 2026.
How big are the classes, and who teaches them?+
On average, about 12 to 15 students — small enough that every student is seen each week. Tutors are qualified teachers or high-performing university students, all formally trained by Uplift, and every tutor holds a verified NSW Working With Children Check.
We aim to keep your child with the same tutor throughout their time with us rather than rotating them each term.
What happens if my child misses a class?+
The lesson is recorded and stays available to rewatch for 13 days, so a missed class can be caught up in full rather than skipped.
Tutors are also reachable between lessons if something in the catch-up doesn’t make sense.
What equipment does my child need?+
A laptop, tablet or desktop with a webcam, a stable internet connection, and somewhere reasonably quiet to work. There is no specialist software to buy.
We send the login and class link before the first lesson, and our team checks your setup works beforehand.
How will I know how my child is going?+
Homework is submitted, marked and returned with written feedback — not just a mark. Parent–teacher meetings are included in your enrolment, the same as for campus families.
You can also contact our team at any point during the term if something needs discussing sooner.
